Happiness Experiment: Spring

Spring. 
So, the last couple of days have been beautiful.

First, Friday and Saturday were so sunny and warm that I even wore a tank top for awhile. 

Then Sunday, was beautiful with family all together and rain that just took over. (I love rain though). 

But even when the weather isn't cooperating... 
HAPPINESS EXPERIMENT.

I have realized that happiness is totally what you make of it.
You choose your battles, choose your activities.

So. I choose: 

*more date nights with my husband
*more lesuirely reading time, right now I am reading two books:

* making accounting notecards so I am not stuck at home studying, I can do it anywhere.. including sitting outside

* Fresh cut flowers

* Cooking with fresh vegetables and eating fresh fruit

* Spring dresses and attempting jeggings? 

* Going camping and golfing

* drinking lots of coffee 

* figuring out how to successfully stay faithful to an exercise regimen

* 7/11 Slurpees

* Sunglasses 

* Exploring new restaurants, especially ones with outdoor seating

Reminiscing...

I cannot stop thinking about Erik and my honeymoon and how amazing it was. The weather was beautiful, the accommodations were AMAZING (thanks mom and dad!), and we just relaxed and had a good time all day and night. I just keep thinking about how much I wish we could take a trip together every year. Wouldn't that be amazing? Ah.. maybe someday.

Happy Valentine's Day

I am so excited for our first married Valentine's Day! We are going to make sushi and drink a bottle of wine that we bought while wine tasting with our friend's Jenny and Scott. Then we are going to lounge on the couch and watch the Bachelor! So Excited!

It's February?

I cannot believe it is February already! It is sunny outside and my classroom is decorated to the nines in hearts. One of my best friends is getting married this month and I just cannot believe that my sister is already married too. This year is just flying by. I have been such a bad blogger lately, but I do have an excuse! I was in Michigan for my sister's second wedding reception and then yesterday I was just too exhausted from the trip to do anything but watch Kim and Kourtney Take New York. But, I am back now!

Holiday Favorites

• The tree and other decorations being lit and glittering when you walk down the stairs first thing in the morning.
• How much more often people want to sit around and just talk or play board games instead of watching television.
• That all my siblings are all in the same city.
• All the holiday drinks at coffee shops.
• How everyone just seems so much more cheery... (or really pissed off). Emotions run really high during the holidays.
• How everything is decorated to the nines. Either it be colorful ornaments or white snowflake decor. I love it all.
• Seasonal Beer selection (especially Ebenezer and Sleigher)
• Christmas Carols
• Candy Canes and Christmas cookies
• Christmas themed movies that only come out during December!

I am sure there are many more things I love that I just cannot think of right now... But I love the holidays!

Blazer Game Tonight!

So, today is going to be an awesome day! I got up a little early and felt refreshed, so I have a few minutes to blog before work. Other things that are going to make the day great: the sectional gets delivered today and we already cleaned out and organized the room is going into, andddd I get to go to the Blazer game with my husband tonight! Can't wait! (small detail that is lame... Andre Miller, my favorite Blazer, isn't playing tonight :(, but oh well).

I am so lucky to have these three people in my life. I think that God makes sure that certain people come into your life and I am so lucky that he gave me, not only my amazing parents and husband, but these three people who make my life complete. My siblings are my soul mates.

We really have become best friends and I would do anything for them. Since September, the three of them have been living in Eugene, Santa Clara, and Alaska while they left me here in Beaverton. I miss them so much everyday and I cannot believe how much I have been in withdrawl since they left.

Amazing People.

I love you three so much!

Volleyball practice for tonight got cancelled so Erik and I are going to go on a much needed date! I miss going on dates all the time.. Erik and I used to go on a date at least once a week and since school started I don't think we've even been on one... so sad! So tonight, date night! Yay! 

Sushi then Parenthood and Grey's! 

We're loving married life!
