uninspired...

I don't know why, but for the last couple months, I have been having so much trouble coming up with anything inspired to put on this here blog. Does anyone else get that with blogging? I just feel like I am not doing anything too interesting. Not saying I am not happy because I am VERY happy, just feeling like nothing i am doing is too far out of the ordinary to put on here.

The one thing that I just can't stop thinking about though... is that I love this time of the year. I love it when it is the last couple of weeks of summer, the weather is still beautiful but the anticipation of school starting and the fall months is at its peak. I love fall so much!

It is by far my favorite season. I think the world is just so beautiful during fall, with the leaves changing and all new colors coming into the normal day to day palette of life. The new seasons of TV shows start, the smell of new rain and wind! Also, I am a sucker of nutty brown ales and pumpkin seasonals.

And, who doesn't love an amazingly soft and warm sweater?

What is your favorite season??

where is the sun??

I am so ready for it to be summertime! I am ready to have BBQs on the back porch without people having to be wrapped in blankets! I am ready to make seafood and put it on colorful plates.

Some things I am looking forward to come summer:

-corn on the cob

-farmers market where we can get all out veggies and herbs for fresh dinners

-summer dresses and tank tops

-watermelon

-bathing suits

-being able to wear bright, bold colors all the time

-sandals and in turn, pedicures!

-staying up late and it still being warm

-drinking beers on the back porch

-going swimming at lakes

-long drives to the beach
-picnics!

These are just a few things I am REALLY looking forward to!

What are your favorite things about summer??

New Phase...

So, I hate having anxiety.

And the fear of the unknown is something that I have an intense issue with. And this week has shown me that I am having trouble conquering it. I quit my job to be able to focus on my studies because I need to be prepared for my internship this summer. But it is so hard to focus when you feel like you have no idea what you are even doing! I am probably exaggerating, I do know what I am doing or else I would have never gotten this internship. But it is so hard to focus on the task at hand when you are fearful of it.

So... I must conquer the fear. Take control of my life. And give myself a schedule.

Wish me luck!

By the way... has anyone else been noticing that blooms have been popping up all over Oregon.. I love this tree. Its giving me positive energy by already blooming even though its dreary out.

So Thanks!
Also, Yoga tonight! I cannot wait!

Spring Break: Anthropologie

A week from today I will be on a plane headed for Orlando, Florida.
Where the Temperature is 79 degrees and sunny.
When it is 43 degrees and raining here.
Here are a few things from Anthropologie that I wish..
would stow away in my suitcase.

Spring Time Dreamin'

I have been thinking so much about spring time coming and today it was so sunny. It made me think of dresses and sunglasses and running around outside and letting the sun warm my whole self. I cannot wait for the weather to cooperate and heat up so that I can sport dresses and just be more carefree.

For some reason, even if work and school schedules don't change at all, as soon as the weather is warmer and the sun peers through the clouds and the rain slows down, I just feel more positive. I always feel like no matter what, even if my classes and work schedule are more hectic I am always more positive during the spring and summer. So... I cannot wait for sun!

...and dresses!

I'm ready...

...to go on a camping adventure!

I am really ready for the sun to come out and spring to begin. Because as soon as it does, I am going to pack up the car, the tent, the cooler, and my husband and head out on an adventure. I am going to have to start researching places now because I am getting really antsy for spring and more outdoor adventures.

Oregon is amazing but irritating sometimes because it is so beautiful year round, but it is hard to enjoy camping when it is pouring outside and you cannot leave your tent without getting soaked. So... I am just waiting patiently (or impatiently) for the sun to come out so that camping, hiking, swimming, boating and other outdoor adventures can begin.

ahhhh. spring tiiiiime. commere.

It's Raining Cats and Dogs!

So for those of you that live in Portland, you know what I am taking about. It has been raining like the dickens for the last week and I am probably the only person in Portland that first, doesn't own rain boots, and second, thinks it is a good idea to walk all over Southeast wearing clog slippers. All in all, the slippers are toast and I was freezing for the whole night! (At least I was a bit tipsy, it being my sister's bachelorette and all). But anyways. It has brought me to the point where before I go to the coast where it is also raining like crazy, I need to buy some rain boots. So, I have been looking online and here are some I am going to look for tomorrow.

Tretorn "Skerry" Rain Boot

Keen Coronado Rain Boot
I just want a simple mid-calf black rain boot! Wish me luck!

And I will be back Sunday because my sister is getting married on Friday!!
Be Ready for a pre-written post!

Because It Is Raining...

...I started thinking about Seattle.
Which made me think of the amazing trip Erik and I took to Seattle a few years ago. That was so much fun. We spent the weekend walking around, eating, sight seeing, and checking out cool restaurants and bars. I love Seattle so much. I think it  has all the big city feel while also having a low key factor to it. I loved eating sushi, then walking through the outdoor market and hanging out on the monorail. Maybe Erik and I should take another trip up there, or perhaps just spend a day sightseeing in Portland trying not to worry about the day-to-day stresses of our lives. Hmmm. I'll have to talk to Erik.

Window Seats

With the weather being so rainy and cold today, it made me really wish I was curled up with a book and a blanket in a window seat watching the rain. I will have to add this to the list of necessities for Erik and my future dream house!
Can't wait to have one of those...
