Weekend Adventure: Gearhart, OR

Erik and I got really lucky and got to have a 4 day weekend over the fourth! So on Thursday night when I got off work, we headed down to the beach in Gearhart, Or! It is so beautiful and quiet there. We build a bonfire and drank some wine on the beach the first night and just got to chat and be a couple. It is so nice to have time to just be with the person you love!

The next day we went to Moe's for lunch then played Bochee on the beach. It was super fun! We set up camp and just relaxed on the beach. It was pretty amazing weather for the Oregon coast, getting to about 70 in the afternoon.

Then, our friends Amanda and Tyler came down and we had another bonfire and just chatted.. (after the boys had to figure out how to get in the beach house since I accidentally locked the keys inside.. oops). Then the next morning we got some yummy breakfast at the Mcmenamins Sandtrap then headed into Seaside for the parade, some arcade gaming, and some beers.

All in All... AMAZING WEEKEND. Wish I was there now...

WA: Seattle!

Sorry about the little hiatus from blogging, but this week was finals week for school and I started my new job so it has been hectic. But right now, I have a little bit of time. So, I thought I would share with you, my "Mid-Week Adventure" to Seattle to see my sister Jessyka, when she was there for work and for her blog, Let's Talk About Beer

So, I drove up to Seattle last Tuesday and stayed till Wednesday afternoon! My sister was there for a promotional event for her work at Copper River Salmon, and also to write for her blog.. So, I got to tag along to take pictures of beautiful Alaskan Salmon and drink beer! My kinda trip! So here are a few photos from this awesome adventure!

To get reviews of the beers we drank,
Check out Jessyka's Blog, Let's Talk about Beer!

Happy Tuesday!

WA: Portland Farmer's Market

I have been seriously slacking on my Weekend Adventures section of this blog because I lost my camera and the one I have been using didn't have a way to put the pictures on the computer. But I found a way! So here it is, about a week ago, we went to the Portland Farmer's Market with my parents. It was really fun because I had never been there before, and even though it was a little overcast, all the colors and people made it a lively outing! I love fresh vegetables and seeing so many people buy local! I loved it!

What did you do this weekend?

Weddings are...

Amanda and Tyler

Bridesmaids- 1.

... Amazing!

Weddings are so fun to be a part of, sure they are super stressful at times, but when you get to the moment where the bride walks down the aisle... it is all so worth it.

Sorry I have not posted for a few days but my great friends, Amanda and Tyler Neves, tied the knot! It was such a great affair at the McMenamins Grand Lodge in Forest Grove, OR.

Her colors were beatiful and all the details (which she mostly made herself) turned out beautifully. I cannot wait to see all the pictures! Then I can share more of the little details.

Good people, great food, and yummy beer. Awesome Wedding!

(P.s. Thank you Becky for the pictures via Facebook)

I'm ready...

...to go on a camping adventure!

I am really ready for the sun to come out and spring to begin. Because as soon as it does, I am going to pack up the car, the tent, the cooler, and my husband and head out on an adventure. I am going to have to start researching places now because I am getting really antsy for spring and more outdoor adventures.

Oregon is amazing but irritating sometimes because it is so beautiful year round, but it is hard to enjoy camping when it is pouring outside and you cannot leave your tent without getting soaked. So... I am just waiting patiently (or impatiently) for the sun to come out so that camping, hiking, swimming, boating and other outdoor adventures can begin.

ahhhh. spring tiiiiime. commere.
