Blue Latitude by Tony Horwitz, writes about Captin Cook in his book, saying: '"It was of a light mouse color and the full size of the greyhound, and shaped in every respect like one. I would've taken it for a wild dog, but for its walking or running in which it jumped like a hare or a dear." Unsure of what to call this odd beast Cook refered to it as "the animal" later he inserted the native word which he rendered "kanguru"'
